Sophia inherited her love of all things fashion and beauty from the age of five when she started ballet classes. The costumes, cat eyes and all round drama of theatre had her hooked. Her career as a dancer took her to the stages, TV studios and stadiums across Australia before following her dreams of becoming a fashion journalist.
Starting with styling, Sophia styled fashion shows for brands such as Saks Fifth Avenue, Stephen Jones and Dubai Fashion Week before moving to newspapers, magazines and websites. 15 years on, Sophia’s role as Editor in Chief saw her at the helm of global titles including Emirates Woman, HELLO! Harvey Nichols and Jumeirah.
She has also collaborated with the world’s most famous brands including Dolce & Gabbana, Cartier and Hermès. Having not (totally) given up her performance side, Sophia is an accomplished public speaker who is regularly invited to speak on expert panels and to work with designers on their upcoming collections and shows.
Today, Sophia is based in Dubai and collaborates with major brands to create luxury content to be used across all media platforms.
